Tips for Dads on how to Make the Most of the Pregnancy

Clean the bathroom. Who wants to throw up in a dirty toilet? When your wife needs to let it go, make sure that your bathroom is up to par with cleanliness.

Full Gas Tank. Fumes can make anyone vomit, especially a pregnant wife. Plan ahead to have your vehicle on full.

Read a book. Read any book together as this will provide you with some talking points for future conversations.

Nap Time. Mom will be exhausted throughout the pregnancy. Make sure to let her get some nap time. Remember too, that you can earn brownie points with breakfast in bed.

Show genuine interest. Even though you have heard the baby names list a hundred times now, just listen and show your genuine interest. Get to those appointments with your wife when you can, especialy the first heartbeat visit.

Date Night. Don't forget date night! You need to spend time as a couple, your poor wife has been carying around this fetus for some time, she needs to be reminded that you still love her with an occasional date.

Take childbirth classes. It's not just a girl-thing. A good class can prepare you for things to come. You are also more likely to ask the questions early on instead of the day the baby comes.

Feel the baby. Take time to feel the baby move, not just say, "That's great hunny." It is also important to ask before you feel, as you might accidently cause unwanted pains.

Keep up on the tasks of the day. Refrain from complaining, pay the bills, keep the lawn watered, clean up after yourself and kids. Give her some alone time where she can relax and do what she wants, surf the internet, cry, shop, read, nap, swim, bike, etc. Keeping the little things in check, will help make a happier household.

Massage. A nice massage can help relieve a lot of tension and give you a chance to talk about the days, months and years to come.
